The 1927 peace dollar was a beautiful coin printed from 1921 to 1928. Then its minting was interrupted and it was printed again for only two years, in 1934 and 1935. In 2021 it was printed to commemorate 100 years of the coin. However, it plans to be reprinted in 2023.

Obverse

1927 Peace Dollar History
The Pittman Act, which was passed in 1918, forced the United States to mint millions of silver coins. The United States government began to do it through Morgan dollars, but people complained and there was pressure from officials at the mint, to change the Morgan dollars for a design that remembered peacetime after the First World War.
The design originally featured the image of a broken sword and it was thought that this symbol could be related to defeating rather than peace.
